Recommended to me by Robert Dugoni, this book takes Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey and filters it through a writer's lens.  It is a powerful book with deep understanding of the structure of story, it's archetypes, and how those elements impact the human psyche.  When Dugoni recommended it, he told me it was a game changer for him, and he was dead on.  After decades of studying story structure, this book awoke key understandings that transformed my perspective on the core elements of fiction.
